Representatives of the company behind a proposed solar farm in Scotts Bluff County addressed a number of key issues brought up by community members at an open house event held at Legacy of the Plains Museum on Wednesday.
The Scotts Bluff County Planning Commission has given a positive recommendation to a conditional use permit for a utility-scale Situla Energy solar project planned for the southwestern part of the county.

The company behind a proposed 400-megawatt commercial solar energy farm in southwest Scotts Bluff County will host a community open house on Wednesday, Feb. 21, to hear questions and feedback from the public.
The Scotts Bluff County Planning Commission voted to approve recommending a conditional use permit be granted for the Situla Solar Energy Project following a second public hearing on Tuesday. The commission’s recommendation will move forward to the Scotts Bluff County Commissioners for consideration.
